AL-Care was founded on the fundamental belief that comprehensive cancer support extends far beyond medical treatment. Our organization emerged from the recognition that patients and families need coordinated access to medical expertise, psychosocial support, financial navigation, and community resources.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we operate with transparency, accountability, and unwavering commitment to our mission. Our approach is evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and designed to address the complex, multifaceted challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis.

Founder & CEO

A Personal Journey

Frank Leonard's commitment to supporting cancer patients began with a personal experience that changed his perspective forever. When his friend Steve Demas was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2015, Frank knew he had to do more than just offer words of support.

Frank took action by committing to run in the mini marathon to raise money for Steve's teenage daughters' college savings. This act of compassion and determination exemplified the spirit that would later become the foundation of AL-Care.

Today, Frank continues to lead AL-Care with the same passion and dedication, working tirelessly to ensure that other cancer patients and families receive the support they need during their most challenging times.
